Arbitrage Calculator

The Arbitrage Calculator displays the current arb you've selected, showing the total wager amounts needed. Any changes that occur with odds on a bet will be displayed and the wager amount will be automatically recalculated. The calculator works in tandem with the Wallet by monitoring the available funds you have on each sportsbook, as well as the default/custom bet amounts you've assigned.
When an arb is displayed on the calculator, there are a few different functions to cover.
While it might seem overwhelming at first glance, the calculator is very simple to use.
Let's take an example with a game between the Steelers and Ravens:
After clicking the Arb Card, the calculator will populate with the game and bet details.
On the left side, we see (from top to bottom):
Sportsbook involved
Team
Bet type
Current odds
Wager amount
There are also a few functions that we have access to:
Clicking on the Sportsbook logo will take you directly to the event page
Clicking the green dot under the odds will stop it from automatically updating (Click it again to turn back on)
Clicking the green radar button to the side of the odds will trigger emergency mode for that side and will scan for the same bet on your other available sportsbooks
Clicking the lock button to the side of the wager will hold it in place, regardless of the odds or wager on the right side (Click it again to unlock)
The right side contains the other half of the bet with the appropriate information
On the middle, we see (from top to bottom):
The League of the bet
Both Sportsbooks involved
Average odds of both sides across all sportsbooks (the green number is the +EV side which is deviating the most from the average and is more likely to change)
Both Teams involved
Bet Type
Current game score/time
Profit %
There are three controls at the bottom we can access:
Auto OFF/ON (turns off/on automatic odd updates for both sides)
Track bet (adds the current bet to the bet tracker)
Share button for generating a share card of the current bet
When an arb is being displayed on the calculator, we simply follow the information it's presenting. Open the appropriate sportsbooks, find the game, and place the bet on the correct market. If the odds change on the bet, the wager will automatically update to ensure that you're profitable. However, sometimes we will need to manually go in and enter a new wager/odds.
To do so:
Click the odds window and enter the new value
Click the wager window and enter the new amount
In an effort to speed up your ability to use the calculator, we've implemented some hotkeys
The SHIFT key will move UP/DOWN between the odds and wager windows
The TAB key will move LEFT/RIGHT on either the odds window or the wager window (depending on which one you're currently on)
The SPACE key will change the odds format between POSITIVE and NEGATIVE on whichever odds window is selected
The UP/DOWN arrow keys will increase or decrease the value of the currently selected window
The emergency button is an innovative tool created by AVO to help users quickly find a hedge bet if one side of an arb closes when the other side was placed. To use the emergency button, click the button on the side that closed.
The calculator will then go into emergency mode by doing the following:
Turns off auto odds update on the side that was placed
Locks the wager amount on the side that was placed
Scans and lists potential hedge bets in the Bet Feed
As you can see from the image above, the emergency button was activated on the right side, for Bet365. The Fanduel bet side turned off auto odds and locked the wager. On the Bet Feed we can see 4 options from our available books. The bottom one is -3.1% profit, indicating that we'll lose money on that option. Sometimes, a small hit is the only option available, which is always better than a complete loss of your total wager.
Clicking the share button on the calculator generates a Share Card of the current bet. These can be posted to social media or wherever you want. Clicking on the share card on desktop will copy it to your clipboard. On mobile, simply click and hold the image until the copy option becomes available.
The bottom of the calculator contains a few additional controls as well as our profit screen.
From left to right, we have:
Previous Arb button to see the last clicked arb
Next Arb button to go to current/next clicked arb
Profit Lock button to hold profit amount (will update odds/wager amounts necessary to reach that amount)
Current Profit window for the arb being displayed
Swap button to switch the left and right side screens of the calculator
Clear button to reset the calculator (click previous arb button to undo)
Arbing is all about speed, and AVO wants you to succeed. We've implemented One-Click Bet (OCB) on sportsbooks that support it which allows you to open the sportsbook website with the bet slip open, containing your bet. For books that don't support OCB, we'll take you to the game page on their website.
When an arb is on the calculator, you'll see the two sportsbooks logos on the left and right side above each bet. Clicking on the logo will open up the sportsbook website.
We recommend using the AVO Tabs plugin to open the links in another tab so that you can still see the dashboard at the same time
Fanduel
Draftkings
BetMGM
Caesars
ESPNBet
BetRivers
SugarHouse
BetParx
ProphetX
While using the calculator, it's common for bets to close or for odds to change. When this happens, different types of error lights will be displayed on the screen.
Depending on the profit % of the current arb, the center display will show a range of colors going from green (high %) to red (low % or zero)
The light bars on the side of the calculator will also display the current status of the bet:
Green - Arb is open and profitable
Flashing Red - Arb is either closed on one or both sides, or profit is zero/negative
If a bet closes on either side (or both), a closed icon will appear beneath the wager for the respective side. A sound will also play to indicate that this action has occurred. If the bet reopens, the icon will disappear and a different sound will play to alert you (unless you click a different arb card).
Depending on the odds/amount wagered, you can sometimes get a split profit. This is represented by an orange triangle icon and the split profits are displayed on the profit screen. If the bet on the left side sportsbook wins, the profit will be the left (first) one display and visa versa for the right side.
Usually, this happens when one or both wager amounts are locked. Simply unlocking one of the wager amounts will re-balance the profit.
Sometimes, you might want to use the calculator without any arb information on it. To do so, simply click CLEAR under the calculator and you'll have a blank canvas to work with. All calculator controls mentioned earlier will work on clear mode.
Additionally, you can also create a custom bet to be tracked
Clicking the 'Track' button on a blank calculator allows you to create a custom arb to track. This is useful for if you hit a bet on AVO or in general and didn't get to add it to the bet tracker.
When we click 'Track' we are greeted with the following screen:
In the center, we have the following input fields:
League Selection
Event Name
Market Name
Left Selection
Right Selection
On the Left and Right sides of the calculator, we can input the odds and wager amounts. Additionally, we can click on the sportsbook dropdown icon at the top of both sides and pick the sportsbook that we placed the bet(s) on.
This is an example of a completed custom arb ready to be tracked:
From here, we can click 'Track' to add it to our bet tracker. If we click 'Cancel' or 'Clear' we are returned to a blank calculator and the custom arb fields are cleared. Additionally, we can click 'Share' to generate a share card of our custom arb.
